Expected investment in these areas is R$89.7 million. Auction to take place on May 23rd
Brasília, 02/03/2024 – ANTAQ (the National Waterway Transportation Agency) published the tender notice in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU) for the first block of port terminals to be leased in 2024 on Tuesday (2). The auction is scheduled for May 23rd.
In all, the first block will cover six areas. Four are located in the Port of Recife (PE), these are REC04, REC08, REC09 and REC10. Another terminal is in the Port of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), RDJ06, and the sixth terminal is in the Port of Rio Grande (RS), RIG10.
According to the studies, the total amount to be invested in these areas is R$89.7 million. All these terminals will be leased under a simplified model with a maximum term of 10 years with no possibility of extension.
REC04 is intended for the handling and storage of solid bulk and general cargo and is expected to require direct investments of around R$3.6 million. For REC08, which is dedicated to the handling of solid vegetable bulk, investments of around R$50.9 million are expected.
The REC09 terminal focuses on handling and storing solid bulk and general cargo, especially rice, and the estimated investment is R$2.2 million. The REC10 area will receive almost R$3 million in investments to handle and store solid bulk and general cargo.
RDJ06, which stores and handles liquid general cargo, is expected to receive R$22.2 million in investments. For RIG10, investments of R$7.8 million are expected; the terminal handles and stores general cargo.
