A ceremony is scheduled for this Tuesday (30) at the Planalto Palace in which the Federal Government officially transfers control of the highways that make up lots 1 and 2 of the Paran\u00e1 highway system to the companies that won the auctions held in August and September 2023.\nThe Minister of Transportation, Renan Filho, is taking part in the ceremony alongside the President of the Republic, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva. <\/p>\n\n

The projects drawn up under the model of the new road concession policy developed by the Ministry of Transport were marked by the unprecedented combination of state and federal roads.\nOver the next three decades, the road systems will be managed by two companies entering the sector: Infraestrutura Brasil Holding XXI S.A., which won Lot 1 and will manage the asset as Via Arauc\u00e1ria concessionaire, and Cons\u00f3rcio Infraestrutura PR, which won Lot 2 and will manage it as EPR Litoral Pioneiro. <\/p>\n\n

The companies will invest R$30.4 billion – including investments and operational services – in the 19 stretches of road that make up the two lots of roads, benefiting residents of 41 municipalities in the area covered – around 6 million inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n

The ceremony will also be attended by the director general of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), Rafael Vitale, the governor of Paran\u00e1, Ratinho J\u00fanior, parliamentarians from Paran\u00e1’s federal representation in the National Congress and municipal managers from the region.\nThe event will be followed by a press conference. <\/p>\n\n
