History
With the strong growth of the economy and the movement of cargo from the mid-1990s onwards, logistics became a determining factor in the competitiveness of the country’s productive and commercial segments.
At the same time, the country’s transport systems began to show signs of exhaustion, making the need for greater investment, revitalization and modernization of the various modes evident.
Against this backdrop, leading industrial and agribusiness companies decided to defend their interests in logistics by founding ANUT at the end of 2002.
Today, the Association is a consolidated entity, with more than 20 years of intensive activity, and is recognized as the most representative of the cargo transport user segment in the country.
It is made up of 30 large companies, which are responsible for a large part of the relevant cargo transported in Brazil, grouped into the following Sector Sets:
- Steel
- Metallurgy
- Non-ferrous metals
- Cement and Mortars
- Chemicals and Fertilizers
- Wood, Pulp and Paper
- Grains and Food
- Sugar, Alcohol and Bioenergy
- Ceramic and Other Materials
